Crunch

Yesterday morning it was c-o-l-d and frosty on my walk in the park. The puddles were iced over, with these beautiful shapes and patterns. So I captured a few, for posterity, and then….

C R U N C H !

There is something so satisfying to crunching a thin layer of ice, don’t you think? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but it’s one of winter’s little pleasures in my book.

Don’t worry, I left a few of the puddles unbroken, in case a kid came along. I didn’t want to hog all of the fun.

Brrrr, I'm just getting ready to go to work and I'll be scraping the ice of my car before I can drive away. I really admire your energy to take photos in this cold weather, I'm struggling to function properly in this big chill and keep running back into my warm, cosy house as quickly as I can 🙂

Crunchy Leaves, Crunchy Ice, the seasons move on, the pleasure is all ours to feel in the moment and capture with the camera for posterity!

We woke up to about 18 inches of snow this morning, we can't go anywhere!

I'll just have to take pics all day!

I used to love crunchy ice puddles as a kid, so much fun.

We are experiencing a Snow Day. One of the Top 10 biggest snow days ever. Can't see much of anything else. We take what we are given and make it as great as we can!

Isn't that kind of like popping the little bubbles on bubblewrap? I can't seem to resist it. Since we don't get much in the way of ice here, I'll have to be satisfied with that!

Oh, that takes me back to my childhood days in Massachusetts. I'm wishing for snow and ice here.
Possible, but unlikely. I may have to take a trip up to the mountains.
