I’m sitting here looking at my image “queue” this morning and realized with all of my San Francisco images I’ve shared, I never posted an image of the Golden Gate Bridge. You can’t miss this icon when you visit, it’s a must see. Enjoy!
Kat – I love your “take” on this icon – the way the shadow on the water plays an important role, mirroring the subject, adding another way into the image.

Thanks Brenda, I’m glad you noticed the shadow!

Oh, wow. Kat, this is the most beautiful photo I’ve ever seen of this bridge…and, trust me, I’ve seen a lot! Most photographers focus solely on the architecture of the bridge. I like how you incorporated the shadow and the land, showing how it fits into its environment. Fantastic job!

I’m preening at your lovely compliment. Thanks Annie!
It doesn’t matter how many times I see this famous icon it always makes me go WOW! And this one is a double WOW! Love the shadow and couldn’t agree more with the previous comments!
Beautiful, the shadow makes it seems like there is another secret road to cross on.

nice angle; you were lucky to get such a sunny day at the bridge! The bridge is 75 years old this weekend; lots of festivities planned here. Which means lots of photo ops :->
I visited San Francisco many years ago and sadly, I missed seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful image of it. By the way, I happened to watch Rick Steves’ Europe last week and he visited Lisbon. Did you know that the cousin bridge of the Golden Gate is there? It’s the 25 de Abril Bridge.
