Or, “Why I won’t be blogging anymore this trip.”
I’m in London now and thought I would give a quick hello, but no photos to share.
I thought I had set myself up for blogging success. I borrowed this little Netbook so that I could type. I’m taking photos in RAW and JPEG so that I could edit without my software. It just is not working. Getting files off of the memory card and onto the computer has turned out to be quite a chore without my standard software. And then editing? Forget about it. It was taking me about 40 minutes to do the most basic of basic edits. So I’m calling it quits on blogging from this trip. As much fun as it would be to share the photos and stories as I go along, I’m just not set up correctly for it.
Quick updates though…
- The workshop in Hebden Bridge was absolutely wonderful! I can’t wait to tell you more. I’m so looking forward to the workshop this Saturday in Hampstead. Come join us! There are spaces available. Get all of the information here.
- Photo-Heart Connection is going on now through October 7. I’ll be visiting your posts after I return home, but don’t miss the chance to link in and share with your kindred spirits.
I have so much to write about but it will have to wait until I’m home! See you back here on October 9 or 10. Until then, I’m going to happily wander and visit and photograph, not worrying about the blog.

Great to get a little news from England, Kat! I have just come back from a big trip to Canada, so we changed continents!
I shall look forward to reading all about your travel experiences! I shall be looking through my holiday shots to find that heart connection image to put up before the deadline on Sunday 7 October!
Have fun and come back and tell us all about it! Have fun in the Hampstead workshop!
Sandra
I look forward to seeing your images when you return home. I suppose this is where the mobile ‘phone comes in handy, they might not have the quality of the Big Girl Camera but they give a lovely glimpse into a day while you are on the go.
I guess this is a message to just enjoy. No pressure to blog. It might be refreshing. I hope the rest of your journey is as wonderful as the start of it sounds! Travel safely please.
Enjoy, Kat! We can wait. 🙂
