Thrill of Discovery

There is a thrill of discovery that sometimes happens when you go out exploring. On our excursion last weekend (yes, the one with the grumpy pre-teen in the back seat), we happened past this awesome hot dog stand in the middle of nowhere.

“Stop! Turn around!” I exclaimed to my husband, “I need to photograph that.” I couldn’t resist the red, yellow and black and the vintage car. There were so many cool details in this little place! It’s too bad it wasn’t open, they serve Chicago-style hot dogs which are my husband’s favorite. We’ll just have to go back again! I’m sure there is another photograph or two to be captured.

I hope you have a chance to get out this weekend, maybe experience a little thrill of discovery of your own.

Love it – I wonder if your husband rolls his eyes as mine does when this happens. Sounds like he is a pretty good sport!

No eye rolls from my husband, he usually offers to turn around when I spot something and I rarely take him up on it! Most of the eye rolls these days are from my son. πŸ™‚

Awesome photo, Kat!! Wreckage captured on digital! Best of all you’ll have a fun new “dog” place to try out some evening, and maybe a good mug of homestyle rootbeer.

What fabulous colours. I think you also have a fabulous husband if he actually would stop and turn around.

He is! I am lucky. He actually said a few weeks ago, “I like driving you around to take pictures.” I’ve got to take advantage of that!

Oh, I bet there’s a ton of pics just waiting to be taken. This place has such an awesome feel to it…big clean lines and bold colors…very “graphic.” Have fun when you go back!

Cool shot Kat….that would make me slam on the brakes too. With or without a grumpy teen in the back.
Found a heart this morning-in an unexpected place. Thought of you while I was taking a snap.
