Just Me and Monet

Imagine visiting Musee L’Orangerie in Paris, and seeing these larger than life canvases of Monet’s water lilies. Then imagine, for a moment the ebb and flow of people visiting leaves the room empty. Nothing but the natural light filtering down, and the brushtrokes created by a master of light and color all around. Beauty and peace. That happened to me more than once on Sunday morning, as I visited this wonderful place. Just me and Monet.

What are the chances of that on a Sunday morning? I'm guessing you're having a wonderful time, and can't wait for a full report.

Ohhh! I am living vicariously through your travel experiences! That is a great shot, and I'm thinking that not everyone might have noticed and appreciated the moment like you did. Thanks for sharing it!

Also, I just realized that you're from Oregon! I'm in Portland! : )

Fabulous–so glad you got to enjoy the Orangerie without the crowds! The music is perfect for the room too, isn't it? We were there a year ago, and I can still close my eyes and feel like I'm back there.

Gorgeous…I imagine there are few things as joyous as natural light. We look for it everywhere and when we find it, look for ways to take it home so we can bask at our leisure. Hope you got your fill!
