When I got my first iPhone, I started to experiment. I wanted to know: How far could this little camera go in covering the full range of my photography? What would could it do for my creativity? The answer came relatively quickly: The iPhone could do most of what I want a camera to do, and it could take me places creatively that a dSLR never would. The accessibility of always having a camera with me coupled with the post-processing power of the apps… It has changed my photography forever.
While most of my artistic focus has been on trees as a subject, I’ve experimented with imagery well beyond that. I find the iPhone camera to be versatile enough to cover travel, portraits, still life, macro, and landscape. For a camera this small to have a capability this broad is astounding.
This group of images is some of my favorite iPhone work, beyond the trees.
