I am so excited to release a new portfolio today: Paint the Sky
This portfolio is a collection of my iPhone art from this last winter, when I was fascinated with the bare trees and the blank canvas of the sky. “Paint the Sky” not only captures the shift I’ve made in my art toward the non-representational, it captures the beauty I found in this place I am living now. It represents a new way of seeing and celebrating the world around me. It’s the beginning of a new intention for my art.
Of all of the portfolios I’ve put together over the last couple of years, this one feels the most important. It shares a fundamental shift in my artistic expression. While the portfolio is complete in and of itself, it is also the beginning of something new and exciting. There will be more like this to come.
On this first day of summer, enjoy a cool dip into the realm of winter.
When skies are grey, chase the blues away… Paint the Sky.

These are so beautiful. Loving watching this shift in your expression and looking forward to seeing more. 🙂
Absolutely stunning!!!!!!
😀
I love the images and love that you’ve shared them along the way. To see them together in a gallery is a treat. “Paint the Sky” – wonderful!
Tree-mendous! I love them all, individually, and as a mosaic.
Oh my… Kat these are just so lovely. Great title.
The individual photos are lovely, but the video portfolio multiplies their impact and shows them off beautifully.
Stunning images! I felt such peace as I watched the slideshow.
Beautiful Kat, just beautiful.
absolutely positively gorgeous!
Absolutely beautiful! I love the journey you’ve been on.
Wow, this is stunning.
These images are compelling and engaging. Your use of video and music is inspired. But I have to confess that I was somewhat frustrated, too. I wanted to linger a bit longer on many of the images. When you altered (slowed) the pace on a couple of occasions, the total visual and auditory experience improved for me. The pace of change of the images (fairly rapid) did not seem in harmony with the ethereal nature of the images and the music.
–Thoughts from a geezer who admires your work tremendously.
P.S. Hope I haven’t created a “knot” for you.
LOL, no knots created. I love to hear feedback of all sorts! I’ll have to share the longer version with you sometime.
Kat, this is so amazing. I love the video with your images transitioning from original to the colored versions. What a pleasure and look forward to future creations!
