I’m trying to get out into the forest as much as possible as the days start to get longer and the weather gets better here in Oregon. The extra time I’m out of the house, along with the leaves arriving on the trees, mean it’s time to shake things up with my art. No more bare trees! Instead, I’ll be trying to regularly photograph and edit images from my morning hikes, and I’ll share them using the #morninghikewithkat hashtag on Instagram. I thought, wouldn’t it be fun if other people are doing that too?

A recent (2 years now) transplant to Montana, I am ALWAYS the last one on hikes….I take pictures rather than just walking. The group loves my pictures of what they missed on the hike, large and small.

What a gorgeous photo! And a special find. Since a few weeks I’ve been walking around the island we’ve been living since September last year, Noord-Beveland. I’m almost back at starting point. Haven’t tagged on IG, but will for the next walk. Unfortunately the house we’re renting has been sold. It will be so hard to leave this beautiful and peaceful spot and island. It hurts the most that our cats will lose the wonderful outdoors. xo
