Wherever you go, there you are.
I had a wonderful weekend in Las Vegas, talking Photography of Place and exploring a new city.
And what did I mainly photograph? Trees. Palm trees against the Las Vegas architecture. Shadows of palm trees. Palm trees against that amazing sky.
What else could there possibly be to photograph in Las Vegas, but trees?
I have to smile. Wherever I go of late, I find myself amongst the trees.

I’m delighted you had a successful weekend in Sin City. I regretted greatly that I was not able to attend your seminar. Now that I have completed your course, I have to say that my foray into on-line learning has been most pleasant. Rest assured I’ll be signing up for something else soon. Hey, an apple for the teacher, right?
I have a new and wonderful photography assistant in the shape of an iPad. Wow! I just received it yesterday so I haven’t really had time to set it up with the apps I want, but I know I’m going to have lots of fun.

How fun! Enjoy the iPad!
Wonderful example of finding what you love wherever you go. I love these very different visions of Vegas – my favorite is the second monochrome image of the trees, lined up against the plain white wall – textures, patterns and shadows. Lovely!
Thanks Brenda! It’s funny to see how this tree fascination plays out.
My favorite is the one peeking over the fence. It made me smile. I also had to laugh that you went to Las Vegas and photographed TREES — certainly not the most obvious choice! 🙂
I know, I’m laughing at myself too.
Gorgeous, I love and photograph trees. I particularly love them without their leaves, Love the shapes. My favourite is your shadow.
Yay! Another tree lover! I’m with you… Love their shapes without leaves. They are so interesting!
