We woke up to snow yesterday. Where we live in Oregon, snow is unusual. A bare trace of snow will cancel the schools. Snow in March? Unheard of.
But I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, capturing the mix of the seasons. I hope the spring flowers survive!
I found this guy, waiting at the bus stop. I wonder if his bus made it on time?

I LOVE that photo of the snow-covered blossoms. Just gorgeous – definitely frame-worthy! Strange weather all over the place this year, Kat. Check out my post from yesterday to see what it was like here in Maine!
Crazy, mixed up weather all around Lee!
Gosh, Kat! Great pictures … but poor flowers. I love the one of the pink blossom – though it does look a little in shock.
That snowman is super.. looks like someone had fun building him!
The weather is all over the place indeed this year – it’s getting warmer in these parts after a rainy weekend. Who knows what will happen next. Let’s enjoy it as it is for it can’t be any other way!
Have a lovely day!
What a cool mix of seasons, love these captures.
Okay – that is just too weird! As you commented on Lee’s blog – bikinis in Maine; snow in Oregon. And we have broken temperature records each day this week here in Ohio. But you are right – made for some lovely spring/winter images.
Love the pink blossoms! As far as the bus goes I think he missed it. They probably had to cancel bus service due to all those traces of snow. I’m sure he’s going to have a melt down when he realizes it.
Well, you called that one perfectly Susan! I just got back from another snowy walk this morning, and Mr. Snowman is nothing more than a tiny piece of ice. Meltdown, indeed!
This is turning out to be a very weird spring — I think Mother Earth is not happy. You did get some great shots –The snow covered pink blossoms are beautiful!
Very pretty pictures – hope your weather heats up soon.
That little snowman is wonderful and fun. The snow in combination with the pink blossoms is a great subject. I’m at 82 degrees today-unheard of for Maine in March-it doesn’t get this warm in July sometimes…however I have a sneaking suspicion a little white delivery is still possible. I’m keeping the extra blanket out. Last year-April 1 was the last snow.
Happy day Kat. I gave a little shout for your blog and classes on my post today. You never know if it might send a new connection for you.
Thank you soooo much Susan! I appreciate every connection that comes my way. 🙂
This is so funny! As I was shooting the beautiful, pink blossoms the other day, I thought to myself..’what if we had a suprise, last minute, March snow? That would be so cool on these pink blossoms!’ Now I know what it would look like thanks to your post! Breathtaking!
It looks like your wish came true… just somewhere else! How fun!
awwwww….poor flowers….they’ll be all confused!
Lovely, lovely images, Kat.
ps..we’re having summer in March..21 degrees celsius. Apparently, winter returns on the weekend! 🙂
These are beautiful Kat!
What a delightful day! Well, it would be for me anyway!! Love your beautiful spring/winter images! We’ve been enduring some really heavy rain. Six inches in less that 24 hours! Feels like April showers here!! Glad you had the time to go out and explore in the snow!!
Snow on blossom! – I’ve never seen that before (looks so pretty). Here in the Uk we’re enjoying some balmy spring-like weather, but it could all change in a moment, of course.
Oh how pretty! So strange to have snow. Love the little man waiting for the bus.
Oh what great shots, but I must say the “little man” waiting for the bus is just Awesome! On a weather note, it appears we have been having the spring you guys are accustomed to here in Ohio – although it really has been more like summer.
I know, it’s just crazy how mixed up the weather is. Snow on the flowers was fun, but summer-warm would be awesome!
