Symmetry

I’m not sure what I really like about this photo… I think maybe the symmetry of the mailbox and flower box in the wall. Or maybe it’s the interesting color combination? It could be the composition overall.

What do you think?

I like the whole package. The taupe frames the photo. The mailbox makes me curious. The flowers make me smile. The lavender paint is a fun surprise. And the photo seems to go off into infinity upward.

It appeals to me for the same reason it probably appeals to you. Straight lines by man and no straight lines by nature. It's not that nature cannot do straight lines, it just knows that chaos is better, wonderful and more interesting. Contrast! in color and design. Why don't I bring more contrast to my own art? Once again you have inspired me!
